The Institute for Life Course Health Research hosted a vibrant breakfast symposium on Reframing Women’s Mental Health on 13 November at Tygerberg Campus.
Speakers from leading institutions – including University College London, Stellenbosch University, the University of Warwick, and City St George’s – shared insights on the sociopolitical dimensions of global mental health, the invisible labour carried by women, best practices in community engagement, and innovative intervention models such as the CHIME project in The Gambia.
The event brought together researchers, practitioners, and students for a thought-provoking morning dedicated to advancing women’s health through fresh perspectives and collaborative dialogue.
