Be inspired by how music is strengthening community health and connection! CHIME (Community Health Intervention through Musical Engagement) & One to One Africa & Perinatal Mental Health Project delivered a 1 hour interactive webinar on 6th August 2025 entitled ‘A Story of Collaborative Music-Making in the Eastern Cape, South Africa’. The webinar explored the development of CHIME and its implementation in maternal and child health programmes in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Short presentations and panel discussion were delivered by Emma Chademana, Nolubabalo Tshemese, Ncumisa Waluwalu One to One Africa, Lele Sigwebela, Perinatal Mental Health Project, Simone Honikman & Bonnie McConnell from CHIME. Examples of songs and testimonies from community health worker musicians are all shared in the webinar. A Q&A session completed the webinar.
