Lungiswa Nkonki

Co-investigator

Professor Lungiswa Nkonki, a health economist in Stellenbosch University’s Department of Global Health, specialises in evaluating cost-effective community-based healthcare interventions and addressing health inequalities. She leads the Health Economic Evaluation track in the MPHIL Health System program and is on the PLOS Global Public Health Editorial Board. Her research focuses on universal health coverage, social determinants of health and private healthcare, aiming to improve maternal, child and adolescent health outcomes within equitable systems.
