Modou Lamin Cham

Field Nurse

Modou studied Community Health Nursery and graduated in 2017. He worked with a project in Basse Field Station as a Project Research Nurse and worked on studies for pneumonia in children, meningitis, and other acute diseases that need admission to clinics. In 2018 he transitioned to a new role as project nurse on a vaccine trial that focused on reducing the current EPI schedule of administrating the pneumo vaccine from 3 doses to 2 doses. In 2021, he joined the Keneba Field Station with EDEN/INDIGO project as a nurse/field assistant – a project that aims to improve maternal nutrition during and after pregnancy. In 2026 he joined the CHIME, a project that aims to improve maternal mental health with a safe intervention (music). In this new role he aims to improve his understanding of social science interventions and to develop himself and his career within the MRCG.
