Moroesi Makhetha

PhD student

Moroesi Makhetha is a researcher and PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University’s Institute for Life Course Health Research. She also serves as the CHIME Country Lead and Chief Operations Officer of the Lesotho Alliance for Maternal Mental Health. Her research interests include child, adolescent, and maternal health, with a particular focus on maternal mental health, child and caregiver wellbeing, and gender-transformative approaches to adolescent reproductive health. Moroesi is committed to promoting sustainable health outcomes for children, adolescents, and mothers, with a strong emphasis on fostering collaboration to strengthen health systems in low-resource settings.
