Sainabou Drammeh is a public health professional and CHIME PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University who began her career at MRCG@LSHTM, contributing to projects in malaria, maternal and child health, and vaccine trials, experiences that underpin a decade advancing health equity in resource-limited settings. At Peace of Mind, Sainabou blended living experience with scholarship to strengthen mental health care and Psychosocial Support. She established the research department and launched a mentorship program for frontline workers. She shares her journey to break stigma, promote help-seeking, and model healthy coping for women and their families, while fostering peer support and trust in communities.

Now a PhD student at Stellenbosch University under the CHIME study, she focuses on maternal mental health systems in the Global South.
