Professor Sarah Skeen focuses on developing and evaluating community-based mental health interventions for children, adolescents and caregivers. She is the Co-Director of the Institute for Life Course Health Research and has worked in several settings across East and Southern Africa. She has a special interest in tackling gender-based health inequities. She collaborates frequently with WHO and UNICEF, focusing on improving accessible, community-based mental health systems in low resource contexts.
